Anthropic calls for global pause in Ai

(CNN)– Anthropic says its industry should slow or pause Ai development for the good of humanity.

It says artificial intelligence models could soon develop themselves without people programming them.

If that happens the major Ai company warns humans could lose control of the technology.

Anthropic Co-founder Jack Clark says Ai only has a “gas pedal” right now, but it needs a ‘brake.’

He says companies should collaborate to make one.
