With hot week and holiday weekend ahead, Newberry County opens cooling center

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – With very hot temperatures this week and triple digits expected as people celebrate July Fourth this Saturday, Newberry County Emergency Management is opening a cooling center in Newberry.

Food, water and drinks will be available from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. through Saturday, at the O’Neal Street United Methodist Church, located at 501 O’Neal St.
