Columbia-Richland Fire crews along with Irmo Fire handle morning kitchen fire
CHAPIN, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland Fire Crews along with Irmo Fire handled a morning kitchen fire, said the fire dept.
According to CRFD, firefighters were able to stop a kitchen fire and prevent further damages to a home on White Rock Acres Road.
One occupant who was able to escape safely was inside the house and cooking when the fire broke out.
He was taken by Richland County EMS to get checked out.
Crews found the fire in a kitchen area above the garage and extinguished it, said CRFD.
The fire department is reminding people to be careful when cooking.
