RCSD: 1st arrest in connection with shooting on Sagamare Road

During the investigation of the shootings that took place on the early morning hours of June 4, 2026, it was discovered that Aric Hicks was one of several people that participated in the original shooting on Sagamare Road, says RCSD.
On Weds, July 1, 2026, RCSD’s Fugitive Task Force apprehended Hicks on charges related to that shooting.
Hicks is charged with 7 counts of attempted murder (for each occupant inside of the home at the time of the shooting), possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and aggravated breach of peace.
He was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
