State health officials confirm two animals test positive for rabies
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– State health officials have confirmed two animals tested positive for rabies.
In Saluda County a fox found near Country Pond and Cockrell Road was confirmed to have rabies on July 2, one person and a dog were exposed.
In York County a goat was confirmed to have rabies on Monday, July 6, leaving four people exposed.
Officials say there have been 57 cases of rabid animals statewide so far this year.
