Several states finalize anti-trust lawsuit against Paramount, WBD merger

(CNN)– Lawyers for several states are finalizing an anti-trust lawsuit challenging Paramount’s pending acquisition of Warner Brothers Discovery.

That’s according to people involved in the legal process.

The sources say the multi-state suit will likely be filed next week, though the filing date is subject to change.

Such a suit could disrupt Paramount’s plan to take control of Warner later this Summer.

Paramount has been seeking to complete the deal in the coming weeks.

The Justice Department cleared the deal last month amid criticism of the Trump Administration’s close ties with the company.
