Deputies: Man charged with murder following weekend shooting

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies say a man is in custody in connection with a fatal weekend shooting.

Investigators say Alphonzo Ray is charged with Murder after the shooting in the early morning hours Sunday.
Deputies say they responded to Shakespeare Rd. around 5am Sunday after a shot-spotter alert.
When deputies arrived they say the found a man with a gunshot wound to his lower body.
He was transported to the hospital where he later died.
Deputies say Ray and the victim knew each other and the shooting stemmed from an earlier argument.
