According to a Facebook post from U.S. Rep. Russell Fry, Trump is scheduled to hold a rally with Sen. Darline Graham on Friday, Aug. 21, at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
Trump previously endorsed Graham in the Senate race.
“I am beyond honored and excited to welcome President Trump to South Carolina. President Trump gave me his Complete and Total endorsement because he knows I will work hard every day on the issues South Carolinians care about most in the United States Senate.” said Sen. Darline Graham.
The rally comes as Graham and U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman prepare for the Tuesday, Aug. 25, runoff election. The two candidates are also scheduled to take part in a debate hosted by the South Carolina Republican Party from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Newberry Opera House.
Party officials said the debate will give voters a chance to hear directly from Graham and Norman on issues affecting South Carolinians before early voting begins.
Kasie Whitener is also running for Senate under the Libertarian Party.
The winner of the runoff will represent the Republican Party in November’s general election against Democratic nominee Dr. Annie Andrews.
Trump’s rally will be held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, 2101 N. Oak St. Doors are expected to open at 3 p.m.
Myrtle Beach officials said drivers should prepare for temporary road closures and traffic delays before Friday’s rally. Drivers are urged to allow extra travel time, expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.
Officials said roads will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
Registration information for Friday’s rally is available here.
