Investigation underway after armed robbery of 11-year-old in Florence County

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — The Florence County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) arrested three juveniles Thursday and charged them in connection with the armed robbery of an 11-year-old.
Deputies said it happened Monday after the child got off a school bus in Florence and was confronted by individuals in two cars, who at gunpoint, took the victim’s shoes, book bag and other belongings.
According to investigators, the suspects forced the child to remove all clothing except underwear, and one suspect struck the victim’s mouth.
The three juveniles are charged with armed robbery, assault and battery second degree, and petit larceny.
FCSO is still investigating and has said additional charges and arrests are possible.
