Bill gates sounds alarm on Ai

(CNN)– Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is sounding the alarm on artificial intelligence.

He published an essay Wednesday, August 26, that warns Ai will bring “one of the most turbulent periods in human history” and there is no plan to navigate it.

Gates told the New York Times the industry knows what is going on and is downplaying it.

He said behind the scenes, tech insiders are very worried.

They’ve seen Ai go rogue, break out of constraints, and do things like make recipes for bioweapons.

Gates is calling for taxes on Ai usage and flat bans on certain uses.
