Former SC governor launching effort to mend political divide in U.S.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A former South Carolina governor says he is launching an effort to mend the political divide in the U.S.

2022 polling from the Pew Research Center found more than half of both Republicans and Democrats held a negative view of the opposing party in terms of morality, honesty, and intelligence.

This week, Former Governor David Beasley announced his ‘Breaking Bread Together’ initiative.

The program will partner with local organizations to host meals and conversations in communities across the country.
