Firefighters work to bring fire under control at Louis Lee Lane home

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Cola Firefighters 3rd shift crews worked to bring a fire under control at a home on Louis Lee Lane this afternoon.

Firefighters were dispatched to the Louis Lee Lane home on around 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11.

While approaching the scene Engine 34 saw smoke in the air and called for a working fire dispatch.

Upon firefighters arrival to the scene, the smoke was traced to the rear of the property.

Crews also had to deal with a power line that had fallen behind the home, says CRFD.

Engine 34 and Rescue 3 went inside the house and faced high heat conditions with low visibility.

Engine 32 brought a second hose line to the rear of the structure while Ladder 4 worked to release smoke from the property through the roof.

The fire was located in rear areas of the home and extinguished.

There were no injuries.
