Deputies warn of vehicle break-ins

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has a word of warning for drivers. It has seen a 14% increase of vehicle break-ins compared with this time last year. The number of reports totals 342. Deputies say in many cases, suspects are seizing opportunities to go in unlocked cars and take out valuable items, such as cell phones and GPS devices. They add the suspects are targeting subdivisions.
