Updates on Mlily factory fire

WINNSBORO, S.C. (WOLO)– The owners of the Mlily Winnsboro mattress factory that burned down in August is sharing an update on the incident.

Healthcare SC says the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services’ latest monitoring data after the fire shows no harmful impacts to the air and the drinking water in Fairfield County.

They also say they’re working with county and state officials on restoring operations and employment in the future.

A fire broke out on August 16th which re-ignited the next day, destroying the building, and causing 254 employees to be laid off.
