Gas prices at record high

(CNN)– AAA reports the cost of regular gas is on track to set a new September record.

It says the highest monthly average previously was $3.83, set in 2023.

In South Carolina, the average price for gas is $4.12 a gallon.

Friday, September 25, diesel is about three cents lower than its record-high set Tuesday.

AAA says restricted oil flow in the Strait of Hormuz is driving up prices at the pump.
