Fairfield County Coroner identifies person who died after single-vehicle accident

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill has identified the person who died after a single-vehicle accident, says the coroner’s office.

Saturday morning, September 26, Fairfield County Coroner’s Office personal were called to Newberry Road near Old Blair Road in Blair, S.C. for a single-vehicle accident.

According to Coroner Chris Hill, Kendrick (KJ) Stringfellow, age 25, of Blair was the unrestrained driver of a Chevy Tahoe that left the roadway, hitting numerous trees before being ejected from the vehicle.

Stringfellow succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

An autopsy will be scheduled with Newberry Pathology to determine his cause of death.

The accident is an ongoing investigation between Fairfield County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
