Registration open for 20th annual Mayor’s Walk and Run Against Domestic Violence

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of Columbia has opened registration for the 20th annual Mayor’s Walk and Run Against Domestic Violence that is taking place next month.
This year marks two decades of the mayor’s campaign against domestic violence which is an annual effort to raise awareness about domestic violence, support survivors, and connect the community with resources.
According to city officials, the 2026 campaign benefits SisterCare which is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and their children.
For the first time, the event will feature both the community’s longstanding awareness walk and a new 5K run.
The event is on Saturday, October 24, 2026, starting at 8 a.m. at Finlay Park (930 Laurel Street).
Additionally, the walk will begin at 9:15 a.m.
