$500 ACA rebate checks going out

(CNN)– Obamacare rebates are going out this month, according to a White House announcement made last month.

It says almost a million Affordable Care Act enrollees will receive the $500 payments beginning in October.

They’re for people in 30 states who used Healthcare.gov, and did not qualify for premium subsidies.

President Trump says the affected policyholders were “wrongly overcharged” during the Biden Administration.

Some experts dispute that claim.

The money is from unspent fees intended to support the federal ACA exchanges.
