Richland Co. coroner releases identity of fatal stabbing victim

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identity of the individual who died as a result of a fatal stabbing, says the coroner’s office.

The stabbing occurred on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, on Moonglo Circle near Exit 74 on I-20.

The victim has been identified as Reggland Swinton, 51, of Columbia.

“We will continue working with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to fully investigate this homicide,” Coroner Rutherford states.
