Fed signals another rate hike

(CNN)– Another interest rate hike could be coming before the end of the year but it won’t likely be this month.

According to minutes from the Federal rReserve’s last meeting, some officials suggested a further rate hike can wait until December.

This, after the Central Bank’s board voted unanimously to raise rates by a quarter of a percentage point in September.

Policymakers also agreed that inflation remains elevated, and that the government has not yet made enough progress toward its two-percent target rate.
