Medicare for all support surges

(CNN)– A health idea once considered fringe is gaining support, Medicare for all.

A new survey from the Axios-ipsos American Health Index shows 43% of Americans support government-run health insurance for everyone.

Just 24% oppose it entirely while 32% say they’re not sure.

The rising popularity of Medicare for all is being fueled by rising healthcare costs, not by faith in the government.

Trust in President Trump for health-related information was only 20%, and 25% for Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
