On Monday, October 19, around 10:15 a.m., RCSD investigators, who were already onsite at ASGDC responded to a code alert within the jail, says RCSD.

Upon entering the unit, investigators saw the victim who is an inmate with injuries in the face area being escorted by jail staff.

Further investigation found that several inmates coaxed the victim outside into the recreation yard, according to deputies.

As the victim entered the recreation yard, he was approached by an inmate identified as Mason Taylor and at that time an altercation began.

Two more inmates identified as Anthony Walker and Nycoreian James approached the victim as well.

Walker and James were armed with make shift weapons, commonly known as shanks, and began to stab the victim, say deputies.

The victim suffered puncture wounds to both the upper and lower parts of his body.

The victim was provided medical attention by jail staff and was later taken to a local hospital by EMS in stable condition.

All three men were charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

Later that day, RCSD investigators were notified by detention staff of a second stabbing.

Around 3:45 p.m., RCSD investigators made contact with the victim, an inmate who had multiple puncture wounds to his upper body area.

The victim stated that when his cell door was opened for him to exit, three male inmates rushed at him.

The inmates stabbed the victim and punched him with a closed fist, say investigators.

The jail staff alerted the RCSD on-site investigator.

This incident is still under investigation.
