Richland County deputies arrest man accused of August road rage

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies arrested a man accused of road rage back in August.

21-year-old John Pruitt has been charged with attempted murder among other charges.

According to deputies, on August 27, a man driving on I-277 was surrounded by two motorcycles, one driver pulled next to the man and shot him.

Investigators say the firearm and shell casings led back to Pruitt who was arrested last week following a dispute between his family members.

He’s being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where his bond was denied.
