Orangeburg County coroner ID’s person after vehicle vs. pedestrian collision
ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle is releasing the identity of the person fatally wounded in a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian collision, says the coroner’s office.
The collision happened on Saturday morning, October 24, 2026.
Coroner Fogle identified the person as Charles J. Young, III, 80, of Five Chop Road in Orangeburg.
Young was pronounced dead at the scene.
He died of blunt force injuries due to the collision.
The manner of his death was ruled as accidental, according to the coroner’s office.
