Tractor-trailer driver killed striking tree in I-95 wreck Monday

CLARENDON CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says a tractor-trailer driver is dead following a wreck on I-95 South Monday morning.

It happened at mile marker 133 at 9:35 a.m.

According to Master Trooper William Bennett, the tractor-trailer driver ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver died on scene.

The Clarendon County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as of late.

Highway Patrol is investigating this incident.
