Lex-Rich School District Five broke ground on new Academy of Environmental Sciences

IRMO, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington-Richland School District Five broke ground on the new Dutch Fork Elementary School Academy of Environmental Sciences.

The new school, which will be constructed on Hollingshed Road, is part of the district’s 2024 bond referendum.

The construction project is designed to address the needs of students and staff who currently learn and work in the district’s oldest school building, while also addressing the impacts of the expansion of Broad River Road.

Once the new campus opens, the school’s current location will transition into the Rich-Lex Education Center.
