Binance withdrawals resume after cyber heist

(CNN)– The world’s largest crypto-exchange is once again allowing withdrawal, and this comes just days after hackers stole more than $6 billion.

The company’s CEO released a statement on social media Sunday, November 1, and said Binance will absorb the losses and not its users.

On Saturday, October 31, the FBI reported that Trader Traitor hackers associated with North Korea were responsible for the theft.

Investigators say Trader Traitor is converting the currency stolen.

Now, Binance says it is reviewing its security systems and is working with law enforcement to recover the rest of the money.
