One dead after moped vs tractor trailer accident

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is trying to piece together what caused a deadly accident in Newberry County. Wednesday night, troopers say there was a collision between a tractor trailer and moped along Belfast Road. The driver of the moped – who was not reportedly wearing a helmet – was ejected and died at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.
