McElroy Makes Move To SEC Network

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Greg McElroy was back in Columbia to talk to a gathering of Tide fans about Alabama football and his new job as a football analyst with the SEC Network. It was a much better visit for McElroy than his last trip to Columbia. McElroy hadn’t returned to South Carolina’s capital city since October 9th, 2010 when his then #1-ranked Tide team lost to the Gamecocks 35-21. McElroy completed 27 of 34 passes for 315 yards and two touchdowns in a losing effort. After a three-year stint as a back-up QB with the Jets and Bengals, McElroy retired from football to join the new SEC Network.
