U.S.C. Building Evacuated, Hazmat Called In

Columbia, SC (WOLO)-A very dangerous afternoon for folks at USC’s Swearingen Engineer Center. Hazmat had to be called in just before two-thirty… after a Hydrogen Chloride leak was discovered. The building was evacuated prior to the arrival of the fire department Fire crews monitored the air quality inside the building to ensure that it was safe for folks to return. No word yet on what caused the leak.
