COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A state lawmaker wants to make rental agreements more fair to tenants.

Charleston Representative, Marvin Pendarvis announced his proposal to overhaul the South Carolina Residental Landlord Tenant Act.

Among the proposed changes, an amendment that would allow tenants to make repairs and deduct the cost from their rent.
