CFD: House fire on McCords Ferry Road is contained

EASTOVER, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Fire Department says one side on the 3000 block of McCords Ferry Road near Eastover is back open after containing a house fire.

Authorities say the fire started before 8:30 a.m. today.

No injuries have been reported.

Investigators say the damage to the home is estimated around $65,000.

Firefighters say the home is uninhabitable at this time due to the damage.

Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
