GM to dealerships: Stop selling certain Chevy Cruze sedans

COLUMBIA, S.C. (CNN) – General Motors has an order for dealers in the US and Canada: stop selling 2013 and 2014 Chevy Cruze sedans because of a potential airbag defect. Some 33,000 cars are involved. The airbags were made by Japanese supplier Takata. A stop-sale order, by the way, is not the same as a recall. The Cruze is GM’s best-selling car model in the United States, selling 248,000 last year.
