COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Investigators say a 58-year-old man has been charged with murder after shooting another man at the Columbia boarding house where they lived.

Authorities said Joseph Minson and the victim were arguing Saturday afternoon on the back porch of the home near downtown Columbia when Minson started firing.

Minson was arrested a short time later. He remains in the Richland County jail. It wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
