Special Election for Lexington County coroner Tuesday

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – We will soon find out who Lexington County’s next coroner will be. A special election is taking place Tuesday, and voters will chose among seven candidates. Here’s a list of them: -Frank Barron -Clay Burkett -Margaret Fisher -Jay Phillips -Andrew Richbourg -Brian Setree, -Jason Willoughby The board of elections and voter registration is also preparing for a run-off – two weeks later – in the likely event that no candidate is able to walk away with at least 50% of the vote. The reason that the special election is being held is because of the passing of former Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman. He died back in April at the age of 79. You may remember Harman had been receiving medical care after being injured in a car accident last year. Harman served Lexington County for more than 30 years.
