SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) – Cardinal Newman’s girls and boys programs made memories and school history, sweeping the SCISA 3A State Championships Saturday night at the Sumter County Civic Center.

The girls won their program’s first state title ever, defeating Northwood 53-44.

The guys played right afterwards, defeating fellow Midlands rival Hammond 57-41.
