Saving Eliza

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., — A Columbia family is asking for your help as they try to raise funds to save the life of their 4 year old daughter, Eliza. Eliza is suffering from a rare and potentially deadly genetic disease known as Sanfilippio Syndrome. The family has gained recognition from national and social media about their fight. Saturday dozens gathered for a fundraiser to help raise money for the two million dollars the family is going to need to try an experimental treatment they say could save their little girls life. A second fundraiser entitled, “Elizapalooza: is set for August at the Saluda Shoals Park to help the O’Neill family reach their goal. So far, the family has been able to raise 1 million dollars toward the treatment.
