Dog Shooting Results In No Charges

Sumter, SC (WOLO)-Sumter police say no charges will be filed against a man who shot and killed a dog in memorial park. Police say the man had a concealed weapons permit… and shot the dog one time, then immediately reported the shooting to authorities. Officers say the dog wasn’t on a leash and the man felt threatened when it charged at him growling. A homeless couple who own the dog told newspapers the dog was not growling or charging. They added their two dogs helped them deal with the stress of losing a job and being evicted from their home.
