Water main break prompting boil water advisory in Richland County

RICHLAND COUNTY S.C. (WOLO) – Some residents in Richland County are having issues with their water, thanks to an eight-inch water main break. The City of Columbia Water Works has advised customers along Pioneers Point Court and Cape Lookout Court to boil their water for one minute prior to cooking or drinking. Officials say the break could have contaminated the water with bacteria. Crews are working to correct the problem. The boil water advisory is in effect until further notice.
