School Bus Accident Shuts Down Garners Ferry Rd.

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– A school bus accident shuts down part of Garners Ferry Rd. Officials with the highway patrol and the Columbia Fire Department say just after 4:00 this afternoon a school bus collided with a truck at the 8800 block of Garners Ferry Rd. Investigators say the accident caused one of the vehicles to leak fuel prompting the east and westbound lanes to be closed. We are told several people were taken to a nearby hospital, but their injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
