Update: North Main Street back open after house fire

North Main street closed due to house fire investigation

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – According to Columbia Fire Department, North Main Street in Columbia is back open after a house fire at the 5500 block.

Officials say they responded to the fire after 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to investigators, everyone in the home escaped safely and no injuries were reported.

Columbia firefighters are investigating the cause.
