Man charged with slaying in Orangeburg County

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — A man wounded this week in a shootout in Orangeburg County has been charged with murder in the death of a second man.

The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reports (http://bit.ly/1yC1Nz6) that 28-year-old Antione Clark faces charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a crime. The charges stem from the fatal shooting Tuesday of 37-year-old Ty Jenkins. Both men are from Eutawville.

Authorities say Jenkins was found dead in his yard Tuesday morning. Authorities found Clark about half a mile away when neighbors reported a man suffering from several gunshot wounds ran out of the nearby woods and collapsed.

Authorities say the shootings resulted from an argument.

It was not immediately clear if Clark had an attorney.
