Roland Not With USC In Kentucky

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — USC junior wide receiver Shaq Roland did not make the trip with Carolina football to Kentucky this weekend. When contacted Friday night a school representative did not give a reason why the former Lexington High School All-American stayed behind. This season Roland ranks third on the Gamecocks in receptions (15), receiving yards (180) and touchdown catches (2). In 2013, Roland was suspended three games for violating team policy. He caught 25 passes for 455 yards and 5 TDs during his sophomore season. As a freshman in 2012, Roland had five catches for 80 yards and one touchdown. Roland earned top honors as Mr. Football in South Carolina in 2011 as a senior at Lexington.
