Searching For An Escaped Inmate

Columbia, SC (WOLO)- Investigators in Shelby, North Carolina are looking for an inmate who escaped from a midlands prison. Police say Hoyle Mincey was driving a stolen van when he was pulled over in Shelby around 3 a.m. Saturday. As an officer tried to figure out who Mincey was, he jumped from the van and ran into the woods. Mincey escaped from The Wateree Correctional Institution in Sumter on October 12th.
