UofSC’s president-elect addresses comments about binge drinking, sexual assault
He also tells everyone to call him "Bob", says he wants to move forward from his military career
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – President-elect Lt. General Robert Caslen held his first press conference Monday since being voted in as the University of South Carolina’s next president.
The university’s Board of Trustees voted 11-8 in favor of Caslen on July 19th.
During the press conference at the USC School Law Caslen address comments he made about binge drinking and sexual assault while as a candidate.
Former president Harris Pastides issued a statement following last week’s selection.

Caslen said his goals as president include academic excellence, research, and diversity.
