Fatal collision after one driver struck a tree around US Highway 321

(ABC Columbia/FILE) One dead after hitting a tree around US 321 in Orangeburg.

ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – South Carolina Highway Patrol says one driver was killed after hitting a tree around US Highway 321 on Sunday.

Troopers say the collision happened around 8:13 p.m. outside the town of North.

According to investigators, the driver was travelling north, when the vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree.

Authorities are investigating this incident.
