Two rescued from house fire on South Sumter Street

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Fire Department says two people were rescued from a house fire early this morning.
Officials say the fire occurred on South Sumter Street around 2:20 a.m.
According to investigators, the fire was caused by a discarded cigarette and started on the porch.
Firefighters say no injuries have been reported as the fire was quickly contained.
