Report: MUSC enacts ebola protocols

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WOLO/WCIV) – There’s a developing story from South Carolina’s health community Friday morning. We have spoken with our ABC affiliate in Charleston-WCIV, and they have confirmed MUSC enacted its ebola protocols Thursday. A hospital spokesperson says the patient is considered “low risk.” We don’t know the circumstances surrounding that patient, such as their gender or where they’re from. No word on a condition either. Here’s a reminder. Last month, DHEC held a news conference with the hospital announcing it had a plan to deal with ebola, should it arrive in our state.
