Man shot, killed near Orangeburg
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a man just outside Orangeburg.
Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell tells local media outlets that authorities were contacted Thursday morning by a man who told them he had shot and killed another man.
Deputies responded and found 59-year-old Michael Wayne Kemmerlin of Neeses dead.
The sheriff says a man has been detained for questioning but that no charges have been filed.
