Volunteers needed to help raise money for life-saving transplant

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) – A boy from Sumter needs your help. The six-year-old was recently diagnosed with kidney failure. Doctors at MUSC in Charleston have recommended a life-saving transplant, but operations – like that – can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. It’s why people are volunteering to raise money for the Children’s Organ Transplant Association. The national charity is known to organize and guide communities is raising that kind of money, and more volunteers are needed. For more information on how you can help, be sure to contact Community Coordinator Sherryl Linkous at 803.983.5769.
